Cherry Blossom - Embossed Foil Card - Rinea

Hi Crafty Friends...Rinea Double Sided Foiled Paper makes a beautiful background especially when you add texture to it by embossing.  Now, here is where I make a bit of a confession. This technique only came about by accident; as I wasn't expecting this result. Instead of a disaster, I was pleasantly surprised with what serendipity revealed (aka: happy coincidence). So let's see what happens when... you apply Alcohol Blending Solution to embossed Rinea foil.

Cherry Blossom Thank You Card:

Directions:
1. Place a piece of blush foil into the embossing folder and send it through the die cutting machine.

2.  Apply Blending Solution to a felt pad and gently rub over the embossed design. When Alcohol Blending Solution comes into contact with the raised areas of the embossing, that area will lose its color and reveal the silver core color. This photo shows the embossed image after Blending Solution has been applied.

3.  Use black ink to stamp the Fuji Goddess Face onto white cardstock. Color the image with chalks and cut out. Matte the image with silver and pink fibrous paper.

4.  Attach the embossed cherry blossom foil to the cardbase. Adhere the stamped face. Next, stamp bamboo stalks with green ink and use a 3" paper punch to cut a circle. Layer it to the left side of the stamped face.

5. Attach a pink fiber along the bottom edge of the stamped face image.

6.  Finally, embellish the card with a dragonfly, gems, and a sentiment.

Let's Celebrate National Craft Month - Blog Hop Party!!!

Come join the celebration...we're having a

Here is my contribution showcasing Sin City Stamps. I hope you like my creation for the hop featuring Fairies & Blossoms 2. I created the wings by stamping onto transparency and adding some Stickles Glitter Glue. I applied Distress Ink (Barn Door) randomly to white cardstock. Then I embossed a demask design on it.  To add more contrast, I swiped the same pad of Distress Ink over the design to give the raised areas a darker shade of red.

Giveaways: To be eligible to win, follow the Sin City Blog, then visit all the blogs participating.  Please leave a comment on the Sin City Blog and let them know about your blog travels and tell them about some of your favorite projects! Winners revealed May 10th.
