Steampunk Hummingbird Card - Blank Page Muse

To create more depth for the background I used different color inks with the same stamp. This allowed me to stretch my supplies. Let's create something a bit masculine and get a bit grungy! You can find the whole step by step tutorial HERE.

Elegant Gold Butterfly Card - Blank Page Muse

Sometimes I manage to keep projects clean and simple but not very often.  I loved the elegance of the gold butterfly on white card stock and selected a sweet sentiment as the perfect finishing touch.  The delicate details in this stamp are stunning. You can find the complete tutorial HERE on the Blank Page Muse Blog.

Blog Hop - Blank Page Muse New Stamp Release

Welcome to BPM Blog Hop to celebrate BPM releasing five new sets.  BPM's trademark is high quality rubber with deeply etched unique images . Follow along the blog hop to each of the marvelous designers and find some wonderful inspiration using the new designs.  I'm sure you will love them all.
My cards feature the set "Kindness Changes Everything" by Shaloo Webster.  I created two cards using the same stamp to create two very different looks for the background. Using different colors and techniques really allows one to stretch their supplies. With the same design, I created a distressed card, as well as, a clean and elegant card.

Enjoy the rest of the BPM Hop and join us tomorrow as more projects will be shared.
For the first card, I created a resist by heat embossing the design with clear powder and then applyied mists over it.  (Kindness Changes Everything by Shaloo Webster)

TIP: After the sprays have dried be sure to take a tissue and gently wipe
over the embossed images to remove the mist that dried on the embossing powder.
Doing so will really make the design pop.

For the second card, I heat embossed with two colors simultaneously. I blended gold & purple to create a unique intermingling of colors. (Kindness Changes Everything)

Wild & Free Layout

My nephew definitely has an adventurous spirit.  I was keen to use these wonderful photos his Mom captured of him climbing a tree in their backyard.  He was not quite three and half at the time and always pushing the limits.  I find is inquisitive expression just captivating as he was lost in fantasy and make believe.  The moodbard inspired me to feature the bare tree branches and lots of black & white.

Vintage Dress Form Encouragement Card

Today I'm bringing a bit of "vintage antique" look which is not my usual style. The muted colors and brown distressed edges are the trademark of the vintage look. The simple dress form image suited the seamstress theme I had in mind. This sentiment is perfectly suited to lend that extra bit of support to someone struggling with life's circumstances. Sometimes a simple act of encouragement can really lift someone's spirit. You can find the step by step tutorial HERE.

Motorcyle Card

This challenge seemed really hard to me and a bit limiting to use white and brown. I surprised myself.  My splash of color was silver used for the gears. My CAS card turned out very unique because I always use cheerful colors and this is way out of my comfort zone.

Under the Sea - Blank Page Muse

Let's create an underwater bubbly paradise.  I was inspired by the words- freedom, explore, and adventure.  Instead of going underground like Alice in Wonderland, I went underwater.  It seems a bit funny to me that my project features a seahorse that can't take an actual first step but it is still in the adventurous spirit.  If you are intimidated by creating inky backgrounds, this is the perfect place to start because whatever you create with texture stamps and watercolors or sprays, it will look wonderful. It's great because you can't really mess it up.  That is a great feeling of "Freedom"  Let's dive in!  To see the full tutorial, visit the Blank Page Muse Blog HERE.
I colored the intricate sea horse with metallic mica powder and then
added Glossy Accents for a super shiny finish.
