Adventure Layout

I wanted to capture the adventurous spirit of my nephew and I loved the photos of him contemplating how to proceed climbing this tree.  He was so proud of himself and this was the highlight of my visit.  The intertwined and entangled branches appeared more dramatic when I changed the photo to black & white.
I added numerous stamped images onto the purple background paper to add interest such as hand-prints, sun rays, and sayings.  Dragonflies were added to bring in subtle "pops" of sunset colors.   Finally, the title was made with denim letters which suited a little boy layout and added great texture.
A random scattering of confetti like Dew Drops were just what the layout needed. Dew Drops are the perfect finishing touch for ANY layout.  Yes, really ANY layout! So even more masculine projects can be embellished with Dew Drops, they are not just for girly girl pages.  To learn how I incorporated rubber stamping into the layout, please visit The Robin's Nest Blog, HERE for the complete tutorial.

Monogram Card

This is the monogram card I created for my mother's birthday.  I was inspired by the delicate shades of pink in the moodboard.  I stamped onto watercolor paper and fussy cut the flowers.  Then, I embossed a dotty texture onto gold mirror card to create a confetti background. Finally, gold micro beads were added to the center of the flowers to create more realistic dimension.

This card is entered into the following challenges...

Sneak Peek - Gumball Machine

Just a peak...can you see the polka dot texture on the white background?  I even stuck a gumball in the dispenser slot.  To learn more about my card please visit the tutorial on The Robin's Nest Blog.

Sneak Peek - Super Hero Centerpiece with ScraPerfect

I am thrilled to have been invited to share with you all the wonderfulness of the ScraPerfect tools & products. I am one of their new Designers starting this year and this is my first project for ScraPerfect.

This was my first experience with the "Best Glue Ever"  and it really is a "Super" glue. That is perfectly fitting since I used it to make decorations for my 5 year-olds nephew's Super Hero birthday party.  You can see the complete step by step tutorial for my Super Hero centerpiece HERE.

Best Glue Ever is a multi-purpose glue and can handle adhering just about any material with superior results. My project had a variety of different materials that needed to be adhered paper, felt, foam, burlap, paper mache, tulle, & chipboard. The Best Glue Ever was even successful at attaching images from delicate napkin tissue. I was very impressed by its versatility.
