Hello Ladies,
The Blank Page Muse April Challenge runs from April 10-May 8. Visit the blog to see the rest of the Blank Page Muse DT reveal their projects. This month the theme is to use Black & White + 1 additional color. I love all the potential of this classic color combination. I chose dusty rose as the third color which worked perfectly for my vintage romance tag. Check out more projects
HERE.
Here is my project..
."Mannequin Wings" This tag is entered in challenges for...

Blank Page Muse Stamps:
Other Supplies:
- black ink pad
- sponge applicator
- pink ink pad
- black gems
- liquid adhesive
- clear mounting block
Directions:
1. Stamp the rose image repeatedly onto white cardstock. (4x7") Without re-inking the stamp, press the stamp to make a second image which will be fainter. Snip the corners off to make a tag shape.
2. Use black ink to stamp the mannequin and angel wings on white cardstock.
Carefully cut them out.
(Practice assembling the tag but no adhesive at this stage.)
3. Use a sponge applicator and lightly apply pink ink around the edge of the tag.
4. Also, apply pink ink along the edge of the mannequin dress form making sure to gradually fade to white nearer the center of the image. (Practice the placement of the image but no adhesive yet.)
5. Apply a generous amount of pink ink to the middle section of the tag and again check the placement of the mannequin image.
6. Apply white crackle paint over three small areas of the central pink area of the background. Continue to test the placement of the mannequin to verify that some of the crackle paint will be visible after the central image is adhered.
...set aside to dry and crackle!
7. Use black ink to stamp flourishes on the upper right and lower left corners being sure to overlap the edges. Next, attach the mannequin with foam tape pads to raise the image slightly.
8. Matte the tag with a thin border of black cardstock. Next, embellish the tag with a random scattering of black gems.
9. Stamp four small butterflies with pink ink and carefully cut them out. Adhere a line of mini black gems along the middle to create the body. Gently, bend the butterfly wings upward and curve them over the pad of your index finger to create realistic dimension.
10. Finally, attach a cluster of three butterfly embellishments to the lower portion of the tag and a single butterfly above the mannequin.
