Welcome Baby!!! (OFP)

The ColorWays scrapbook paper comes in an amazing selection of patterns. I was inspired to use a modest diagonal stripe with a subtle delicate flourished edge to feature my sister's forthcoming bundle of joy.  By using black & white photos with only a pop of color, I was able to focus the layout on the photos. The ColorWays Sapphire Accent Pack perfectly compliments the blossoming family and they even have silver foil highlights.

A Sneak Peek:
Checkout the Sapphire Blue ColorWays Collection from Paper House!

Directions:
1. Select three photos, one 3x4" accent card, and Sapphire Dahlia for the background.

2. Cut a matte for two of the photos in coordinating blue cardstock.  Emboss a piece of transparency with a flourish edge design and mount it over the main photo. Add accent dots over the transparency. Then double matte the main photo with vellum.

3. Next, adhere the photos to the layout.  Then assemble an embellishment cluster and attach it to a crochet doilie. Create a matching mini cluster for the lower right corner.

4. Finally, embellish the layout with a puffy word accent sticker, flair, stars, gems, ribbon, transparency, & rub-on transfers.

(TIP:  If a large area of pretty background paper is covered by a photo, mark where the four corners of the photo are with a pencil. Use a craft knife and carefully cut out this section 1/4 inch smaller than what you marked. Rescue this bit of pretty paper and put it back in your stash for another project.)
