Mechanical Bird Card - Blank Page Muse

Welcome to my bright and colorful semi-steampunk card. I love the look of gears and the mechanical bird image by Blank Page Muse but I'm not always a fan of the dark and dreary colors that are typical of steampunk.  "Keep on Moving" seems like a good title for it.

Party Time! - Ladybug Bags

So my niece just celebrated her 1st Birthday, you know what that means...it's time to PARTY & decorate. Four months ago my sister told me she chose a ladybug themed party and I was bestowed the title of Chief Decorator.

Here is the gift bag all the little kiddos went home with containing a book, a toy, & snack.  I folded down the top of the sack and punched 2 holes in the center.  Then I cut a bit of black cardstock and secured them together with white curly ribbon. Therefore, they were safe for little ones. The final finishing touch was simply tying on a thank you tag and curling the ribbons. They looked adorable sitting on the table by the door and were so convenient to hand out when the guests left. Even better they served a dual purpose: a party decoration and a thank you gift for guests.  Success!

Adventure Begins Layout - FotoBella Reveal

Here is the big reveal of my first project for the FotoBella Design Team.  I used the Imagine Kit by Graphic 45 because of the beautiful pastel colors of soft rose blush, creamy yellows, and subtle shades of blue.  In the spirit of adventure and discovering the new lands of motherhood, I included many vintage hot air balloons.  To add texture to the layout, I included a worn metal charm, and soft touches of ribbons tied into faux bows.

That's Crafty Challenge

Hello Gals,
First, I embossed the lilac card base with an irregular wave pattern.  Then I stamped a horse, painted its mane with watercolors, and fussy cut.  Finally, I realized that it would be much more fun to ride a unicorn so I transformed the horse into a magical unicorn.  Oh, I had an even better thought... a carousel of unicorns!

Here is my card for the That's Crafty Challenge. The theme is "Animal Magic"  All the rules to participate in the challenge can be found HERE. Also, this card is entered in the...
