Chalkboards are still all the rage and I just love the way they blended the chalkboard and wedding theme together. The To Have and To Hold collection is that perfect combination. Many of the sheets in the set are glittered too which just finishes the page perfectly.
I cut a strip of chalkboard paper and mounted it on top of a lighter background of roses because I didn't want the black to dominate the whole layout. As I didn't want too many embellishments to distract from the photo, I only used two and of course, no wedding layout is complete without a cluster of flowers.
Directions:
1. Use the PH 12x12 To Have and To Hold paper as the background. Trim down the paper and mount it onto a lighter background paper.
2. Cut a matte for the central photo from glitter paper and cut a second matte in a coordinating color. Add a transparency with a floral border edge over the photo.
Tip: Decorate your own transparency by using permanent ink to stamp onto a transparent plastic sheet. Remember to always save any thick plastic craft packaging (often dies & embossing folders come in nice plastic)
3. Next, tie loose knots in a strip of organza ribbon and secure it along the lower 1/3 edge of the layout. It added a lovely soft texture without being too bulky.
4. Finally, embellish the layout with a PH Wedding embellishment pack, a small flower cluster, ribbon, and tiny gems.
Tip: For an extra bit of sparkle and shine I added glitter directly on the photo. I used iridescent Stickles glitter glue to add small dots along the bride's dress, tiara, & earrings.
