When Skies Are Grey Layout

I wanted to celebrate and rejoice in the excitement of my sister becoming a first time Mom as she dreams of all the possibilities for her baby son. This is one of my all-time favorites of them.  I was inspired by the glowing candles for my color selection.  I created the sun by using short strips of ribbons & trims. The sun's light is overcoming the dull winter sky and I am thrilled with how it came out. I love the texture and interest it added to the page.  I glittered the title with silver to add a special twinkle.  The little raindrops are tear shaped, transparent, and called Dew Drops.  They are available exclusively at The Robin's Nest Shop. (By the way, they come in every color imaginable not just blue.)

What a beautifully executed layout. You have done a fabulous job tying all the circles together and the sun is beautiful - it really brings some brightness to the layout! I love how you have so much going on, but the beautiful photo is still the focal point of the layout. Thank you for joining us at MTW and highlighting such a beautiful moment in your sister's life.
