I incorporated a bit of rubber stamping into the background by accentuating the travel theme with postal stamps and travel related words. I also stamped the palm leaves onto acetate to add to the tropical vibe. The flamingo was created with pink texture paste applied through a stencil. Wooden embellishments and woodgrain washi tape were also used. Away we go!
This layout is jam packed with tiny details. Be on the lookout for flip flops, sunglasses, a scuba mask, a guitar, and a tropical drink!Monday, 31 August 2020

Too Cute!
So many delicious details to find. I got super carried away with die cut bubbles. Some even have vellum which added a beautiful semi-transparent layer. I used Dew Drops were the perfect embellishment because their transparent nature gives such a realistic wet appearance.

Seriously?!!!
Today I want to show you how to easily attach intricate die cuts to a fun summer layout. The No Clog Writing Cap will make it so simple to apply Best Glue Ever to thin die cut shapes you will wonder how you ever got along without it. The complete tutorial for this layout explains all the details and you can find it HERE.
My niece was radiating joy at the pool that day and I wanted to capture that by creating a sense of movement in the layout. I created numerous types of bubbles from pattern paper, as well as, die cut bubble clusters to build the layers. I made sure to have some bubbles overlap the photos and some larger bubbles go off the page. By adding vellum selectively to some of the bubble die cuts, it added a wonderful illusion of depth to the layout because it is semi-transparent allowing one to see the details underneath. To create the appearance of water-like droplet & splashes, I used blue & clear transparent domed gems. (Dew Drops) I scattered them randomly and love the way they glisten realistically when they catch the light. I prefer to use glue dots as a neater and less stressful way of attaching tiny embellishments so I avoid potential accidents that can occur when using liquid glue. "Seriously" became the title for the layout because she was seriously fearless trying everything her older brother could do in the pool.

Smile, BEE Happy Layout
Hi Guys,
I took inspiration from my little niece's cute dress to make this layout. Unfortunately, the little watermelon embroidered design on the dress didn't make it in the shot so I added a sweet chipboard watermelon slice instead. The little bee is visible which is why I stamped and fussy cut numerous chubby bees to embellish the layout. I added black Dew Drops for their heads and applied Glossy Accents to the wings for a shiny finish. You can see the complete tutorial of the Smile BEE Happy layout HERE on The Robin's Nest Blog.
